By Anita Stoner: I bought a small Jasmine pot plant in the spring, and following instructions on the label. I put it out in the garden after the last frosts. It has now grown to over 5 foot tall but has never flowered. I have given it liquid feed every other week, as per label. Could you please tell me where I have gone wrong?
Answer By The Flower Expert: Once the Jasmines get established, then they will flower. They will flower usually in summer.
May be your plant need some more time for flowering. Give your plant its feed only once a month.
By Sharon Salinas: I have a beautiful bush with a small red flower. A garden expert said it may be a hisbus because it has 5 pedals and the stamen is very long. The flower does not open up. It spreads rapidly and the leaves remind me a litle bit like a bradford pear that shape. There are lots of leaves. It does not appear to attract bees or other insects and although when it was given to me my friend said hummingbirds loved it. I have not seen any on or around my plant. I wintered it by surrounding with a burlap and then covering pretty much the whole pland with pine needles. I uncovered about the time ofthe last frost and green shoots were there. It came from Columbia, South Carolina and has done well in our humid summer in So. Indiana. Can you possibly name this plant?
Answer By The Flower Expert: Probably you are talking about Turk's cap - Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii. It is also called as Wax mallow, Drummond wax-mallow, Red mallow, Texas mallow, Mexican apple, Manzanilla, Sleeping hibiscus from Malvaceae (Mallow Family). If not please send us a flower picture for identification.
By Edward Koloo: I wanted to know the most popular flower in Norway.?
Answer By The Flower Expert: Heathers are the popular flowers of Norway. Røsslyng(Heather), Mogop(Spring pasque flower), Wood Cranesbill, Geiterams (Rosebay Willow herb) are some of the popular flower of Norway. In my view, heathers are one the most popular flowers of norway.
