By Gwen kelly: I read on one site that only the dark orange calendula is beneficial, is this true as I have spent many hours drying these flowers in all colours, and now I am very concerned that I have been wasting my time.
Answer By The Flower Expert: Yes, it is seen that only deep orange flowered variety is of medicinal use. Calendula - (Calendula officinalis) should not be confused with the common garden plant marigold (Tagetes species), which also has bright orange and yellow flowers. Calendula also known as pot marigold. Calendula has a yellow-to-deep-orange flowers that bloom from early summer to fall. Calendula officianalis is only of medicinal value.
By Gardi Smith: I have planted several pepper plants, green, yellow, red and purple. The white flowers on the colored peppers are disappearing, will the peppers still grow.
Answer By The Flower Expert: IF night tempratures in your area go below 50 - 55f, the plants leaves may turn yellow and flowers might drop off. Then they would not grow. (or) There is also a chance that after getting fertilized the flower slowly disintegrates and that remaining part grows into a fruit.
By Cara: I have been searching everywhere to try to find the name of these flowers that are along the mediterranean, seen them in Greece, and recently in San Francisco. They are fushia/pink small flowers that grow along houses/building like a vine/bush. I attached some pictures, would love it if you could help me out. Also can you grow them in Texas?
Answer By The Flower Expert: They are red and pink bougainvillea flowering plants. They are tropical evergreen vines with double pink flowers. They need partial shade to sun and produces best growth flowers. They are low cold tolerant, but prefers mild winter areas with no frost. If there is no frost problem in winter at your place in Texas, then bougainvillea will grow.
