By Lisa: I bought what looked like a very healthy Gardenia potted plant. There were dozens of nice size buds. Not one flower opened on this plant. What did I do wrong? I have had many of these plant in the past and always had flowers.

They include low humidity, over-watering, under-watering, insufficient light high temperatures, rapid temperature fluctuations, cold drafts or repotting in another areas.Usually, If water stress occurs in a heavily budded plant, many buds will fall before opening. In the same way, if there more warmth than needed by the plant, they just bud drop.
